About the role

This fast-paced role supports the inbound and outbound supply-chain operations of an expanding business and offers room for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Supports warehouse team with planning outbound LTL and truckload shipments.
  • Ensures timely pickup of freight and submits required documentation such as ASNs or customs clearance.
  • Communicates professionally while acting as the customer advocate to ensure product is delivered efficiently.
  • Takes on special projects and continual-improvement initiatives as directed by leadership.
  • Addresses inquiries from the account-management team regarding pending or in-transit product.
  • Supports the transportation manager in maintaining the relationship with the 3PL provider.
  • Maintains up-to-date awareness of industry trends and suggests improvements.
  • Uses the in-house ERP system to route freight and ensure adherence to customer routing requirements.
  • Communicates driver or carrier performance issues to the transportation manager.
  • Attends staff meetings and training programs as requested.
  • Provides backup to other operations staff as needed.
  • Works on-site; remote work is not offered.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years in transportation and logistics strongly preferred; a degree in transportation and logistics can substitute for experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to write standard operating procedures and work instructions, including process-improvement skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • High level of professional integrity and discretion.

Schedule

8:00 am – 5:00 pm, in person.
