A Transportation Coordination Specialist at COA ensures reliable, safe, and efficient transportation services by coordinating providers, optimizing scheduling operations, and resolving issues in real time. In this role, you serve as the central connection point between clients, caregivers, and transportation providers, driving service quality, on-time performance, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Transportation Operations Coordination
- Cook up transportation scheduling and dispatching to ensure timely and efficient service
- Optimize routing to improve on-time performance and maximize resources
- Maintain accurate trip data including departures, destinations, and return expectations
- Real-Time Service Management & Problem Resolution
- Serve as the central point of contact for resolving service disruptions
- Identify and address delays, conflicts, and service issues in real time
- Escalate and document incidents as needed
- Provider & Driver Coordination
- Communicate proactively with transportation providers and drivers
- Provide trip clarification, directions, and operational support
- Monitor provider performance and address issues such as delays or no-shows
- Customer Service & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as a primary contact for client and caregiver inquiries
- Deliver compassionate, professional customer service
- Build trusted relationships across stakeholders
- Quality Monitoring & Compliance
- Monitor service delivery through transportation systems and communication tools
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
- Data Accuracy & Systems Utilization
- Utilize systems such as TripSpark to manage scheduling and dispatching
- Maintain accurate, real-time documentation and records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in call center, transportation, logistics, or related environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Associate degree or higher in Transportation, Logistics, Human Services, or related field
- 2+ years of dispatching, scheduling, or transportation coordination experience
- Experience working with elderly or disabled populations
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (e.g., TripSpark)
