Transportation Coordinator - 1st Shift
About the role
What Transportation Contributes To Cardinal Health Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Transportation is responsible for the movement of materials and products between suppliers, manufacturing, warehousing and the customer. Management of transportation assets and systems to gain greater service, cost efficiency and optimization of processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure carriers follow guidelines in day-to-day operations based on Cardinal Health's policies and procedures
- Freight monitoring and KPI reporting
- Expediting urgent shipping requests
- Handle customer complaints, investigate delivery issues and report outcome to internal Customer Service Group
- Provide guidance or technical assistance to organizational projects
- Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as requires by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience, preferred
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks. Works on routine assignments that require basic problem resolution. Refers to policies and past practices for guidance. Receives general direction on standard work; receives detailed instruction on new assignments. Consults with supervisor or senior peers on complex and unusual problems.

Pay
Anticipated hourly range: $15.00 - $21.56 per hour based on experience (includes shift differential). Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Shift Details: 5:00 am to 1:30 pm - Monday through Friday
