Transportation Assistant / Van Driver **Hiring Pool**

About the role

The Transportation Assistant / Van Driver will assist students during their transport to and from school, provide discipline and guidance, and ensure the safety of student passengers.

Responsibilities

• Assist students during transport to and from school
• Provide discipline and guidance to students on the bus
• Ensure the safety of student passengers while meeting established transportation schedules
• Operate a 9 passenger or less non-school bus vehicle safely

Requirements / Qualifications

• Maintain a valid California Driver’s License (Class A, B, or C)
• Knowledge of safe driving practices, State laws, rules and regulations pertaining to pupil transportation
• Maintain a safe driving record (DMV H-6)
• Possess and maintain valid First Aid and CPR Certifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Benefits

• 10% shift differential
• Gap mid-day between 9:30 am and 2 pm

Pay

Pay dependent on experience

Schedule

Length of Work Year: 5 hrs/daily, 193 days/year, 10 months/year
