Transport Outreach Educator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops, facilitates, instructs and delivers education to outside facilities
• Schedules educational sessions with facilities
• Prepares and coordinates presentations with DCH staff
• Captures and coordinates CEU paperwork with CPDP
• Provides necessary communication and/or follow-up with facilities after educational programs
• Supports and promotes education to Critical Care Transport staff
• Supports and carries out hospital policies and procedures
• Maintains utmost level of patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

• Current RN, RRT or Paramedic license in the State of Texas
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Broad knowledge of clinical functions, specific knowledge of patient care activities and knowledge of key educational processes
• A minimum of five years clinical experience in pediatrics or neonate, or an industry educational background
• Education and/or presentation skills
• Knowledge in computer applications
• Ability to operate projectors, audiovisual equipment, cameras, and other equipment used in the instruction of education
