Reporting to the Transportation Manager, Lot Manager, or designated manager, this role supports auction activities by operating motor vehicles on and off the premises.

Responsibilities

  • Transport Auction Drivers on and off auction premises for pickup and delivery.
  • Assign Auction Drivers to lot areas to move, stage, and park vehicles.
  • Instruct Auction Drivers on vehicle positioning as directed.
  • Drive vehicles to and from designated areas while observing auction driving rules, road safety, and defensive driving principles.
  • Drive assigned vehicles through auction lanes on sale day.
  • Verify VINs of vehicles against transportation requests.
  • Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisors.
  • Inflate tires, jump-start vehicles, and refuel gas tanks when necessary.
  • Assist customers, dealers, account representatives, and coworkers as needed.
  • Perform walk-around inspections of vehicles before moving and note any damage.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by designated managers.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Qualified to operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Clean background check required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Physical Demands

  • Light to medium physical work, including frequent standing, walking, touching, listening, and talking.
  • Potential for rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations (e.g., running, jumping).
  • Visual acuity requirements: color, depth perception, and field of vision comparable to clerical or machine operator roles.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including temperature changes, weather conditions, and minor atmospheric elements (e.g., fumes, odors, dust).
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Pay

$15–$16 hourly.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (approximate).
