Transport Driver - ADESA Salt Lake City

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, operates over 50 auto-auction locations across the US, handling hundreds of thousands of vehicles annually for retail, commercial, and OEM clients.

About the role

The Transport Driver safely moves, stages, and parks vehicles on and off the premises to support auction operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas, observing auction driving rules, road regulations, and defensive driving principles.
• Pick up and deliver vehicles, verifying VINs against transportation requests.
• Drive assigned vehicles through auction lanes on sale days.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the Lot Manager, Team Leader, or supervisor.
• Inflate tires and jump-start vehicles using a battery box and air tank when necessary.
• Fill the gas tank when vehicles are out of fuel.
• Assist customers, dealers, account representatives, and coworkers as needed.
• Perform a walk-around inspection of each vehicle before moving it and note any damage.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and clean background check.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English; reasonable accommodations will be made for disabilities.

Physical demands

• Light to medium physical work, including frequent standing, walking, touching, listening, and talking.
• Potential for rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations (e.g., running, jumping, yelling).
• Visual acuity requirements: color, depth perception, and field of vision comparable to clerical, administrative, or machine-operator roles.
• Exposure to temperature changes, outside weather, ambient noise, fumes, odors, and dust associated with vehicle operations.

Qualifications

• Qualified to operate a motor vehicle.

Pay

$15.00 per hour.

Schedule

Approximately 20 hours per week, 3 weekdays between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
