Transport Coordinator

About the role

Transports residents, staff, volunteers, and others to scheduled events; coordinates services with appropriate staff; assists residents in and out of the vehicle using proper safety procedures; operates mechanical lift as required for wheelchair-bound patients.

Responsibilities

• Follows written and verbal instructions before leaving facility with residents; obtains appropriate paperwork before departure.
• Assesses and corrects inappropriate resident appearance before leaving facility; follows Resident’s Rights and facility safety protocols.
• Dresses professionally and represents the facility in a professional manner.
• Monitors and reports mechanical maintenance needs to ensure safe vehicle operations; inspects and maintains vehicle supplies and equipment (gas, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes).
• Maintains records such as vehicle logs and destinations; reports any issues to the Transportation Coordinator and Administrator.
• Complies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid state insurance and license.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check.
