The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a single individual for a permanent full-time position.

About the role

This role is located at OVO and is open for applications. The position is available for internal employees only for placement on Column 5; external candidates can be placed on Column 4/Step 11.

Responsibilities

  • Manage student learning and development
  • Implement curriculum and instructional strategies
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff
  • Maintain classroom environment and resources
  • Participate in professional development and meetings

Requirements

  • Valid California teaching credential
  • At least three years of teaching experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with special education students
  • Knowledge of relevant educational technology

Pay

The salary range for fully credentialed staff is $60,000 annually - $126,000/annually. Additional stipends are available for hard-to-staff positions and advanced degrees.

Schedule

The length of the work year for teachers (Elementary / Secondary), middle school, and K-8 counselors/teacher librarians is 10 months/year, 186 days/year, 5 days/week, with a professional work day.
