Transit/Shuttle Driver (San Antonio)

About the role

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a transit driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be transporting loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit. Night shifts mean you’ll be home every day, and there's no touch freight required.

Responsibilities

Transporting loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience with your class A
• Doubles (T) endorsement required
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50lbs (connecting trailers)
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020

Schedule

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday with Tuesday nights off. Start time: 4:00 PM-7:00PM until run complete
