Pay

Hourly Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

About the role

The TMS Care Coordinator is a critical component of TMS Operations, responsible for performing educational consultations, qualifying patients for insurance coverage, obtaining and maintaining authorizations, and collaborating with internal and external clinicians to ensure patient care. This role involves traveling between 2-3 clinics within a metropolitan area (region) and partnering in the building and branding of our TMS Program.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with TMS Providers to assist with educational consultations, perform device demonstrations, and navigate the insurance landscape with patients and providers
  • Complete prior authorization requests and ensure prompt insurance follow-up
  • Assist in scheduling Peer-to-Peer Reviews with insurance companies and internal Psychiatrists
  • Write and follow up on all insurance appeal letters
  • Collaborate with Benefits Investigator/Cost Estimation Team to relay findings to patients and work on financing options (insurance and self-pay)
  • Act as a patient liaison throughout the journey from consultation to patient start, providing consistent communication about the insurance approval process
  • Schedule patients’ mappings with PA and MD
  • Cross-train as a TMS Technician to act as backup in emergency short-staffing situations
  • Attend clinic and regional meetings as directed by TMS Operations Manager and Regional Medical Director
  • Perform other duties as required

Schedule

  • 95% of duties will be in clinics within a single metropolitan area (region)
  • Less than 5% travel outside the region

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two years’ experience in a healthcare-related field required
  • One year of TMS Tech, prior authorization, or mental health experience preferred
  • TMS training certification required after 90 days of employment
  • Driver’s license required
