About the Opportunity

The Transaction Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting loan originators by managing activities that ensure complete and accurate loan files for submission. This position contributes to the efficiency of the loan process by coordinating efforts from lead generation through to loan closing, enhancing customer experience and supporting the lending workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Assist originators in setting appointments with prospective and new applicants.
  • Respond to new leads promptly and help convert leads to appointments.
  • Manage client databases and send pre-qualification links to clients.
  • Prepare applications and update credit reports and underwriting findings.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments and manage originator calendars.
  • Send thank you cards to referral sources and clients.
  • Act as a contact point for customers and referral sources, providing updates within policy limits.
  • Run credit reports on assigned loans.
  • Follow up with pre-approved clients and referral sources for documentation.
  • Cook up marketing efforts, including compliance-approved materials and email campaigns.
  • Monitor loan transaction dates and manage document distribution and collection.
  • Track active loans and maintain databases.
  • Provide customer service by answering inquiries and following up on loan applications.
  • Support loan application preparation and submission to processing.
  • Order necessary verifications and supplements.
  • Aid processors in resolving file issues and clearing conditions.
  • Provide administrative support throughout production and underwriting.
  • Maintain referral relationships through timely responses.
  • Stay current with approved programs and software, implementing new systems as needed.
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • No active Mortgage Loan Originator license is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and responsiveness is crucial.
  • A commitment to excellent customer service with patience and professionalism is required.
  • Proficiency in data entry, PDF software, Microsoft Word, and Excel is necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are important.
  • Basic math skills are beneficial.
  • Ethical conduct aligned with company values is expected.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, collaborative cloud-based programs, and relevant third-party software is advantageous.
