Transaction Coordinator
About the role
As a Transaction Coordinator, you will serve as a strategic operational partner to our agents, managing all compliance and administrative aspects of the listing, transaction, and commission processes. By owning the operational details from contract to close, you empower Compass agents to focus entirely on building client relationships and growing their businesses. Acting as the central point of contact for all stakeholders, you will ensure a seamless, high-velocity closing experience that reflects our commitment to exceptional service.
Please note: This position requires working from our New Jersey office one day every other week, with occasional travel to other offices for special events.
Responsibilities
- Handle document tracking for a large volume of real estate transactions from listing to close, and/or contract to close, ensuring compliance with brokerage and legal requirements
- Ensure real estate contracts are processed properly and in a timely manner, with a focus on the details
- Manage and track contract deadlines to ensure all timelines are met
- Navigate company systems to validate accuracy of compliance and commission records
- Provide support to Agents in response to inquiries regarding commission payouts, deductions, and commission calculations
- Collaborate with sales managers and other support teams to offer outstanding support to the agents
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a real estate transaction-processing function, coordination, accounting, or payroll function preferred
- Illinois real estate license required
- Familiarity with standard real estate forms used in Illinois
- Strong written, quantitative, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to digest detailed contracts and make informed decisions based on content
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of Agent’s contract data
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Customer service-oriented personality
- Impeccable attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- B.A. or B.S. degree preferred

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $30.00 – $34.00 hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
