About the Role
Directs and is responsible for optimizing the practices, policies, and procedures to ensure delivery of the Electric Operations Training and On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner, with the welfare of employees, customers, the public, and shareholders in mind. Plans, directs, coordinates, and supervises Crew Leaders, Demonstrators, and Apprentices/Helpers. Implements Company and departmental policies, initiatives, procedures, and guidelines to satisfy corporate, business unit, municipal, and regulatory requirements.
This position may require working extended hours during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. The ideal skill set includes leadership, facilitation, training program instruction, program management experience, field processes and safety guideline knowledge, and strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and direct craft employees engaged in the execution and delivery of scheduled training and OJT activities to assure the highest levels of customer service and maintenance, achieving Exelon's safety, reliability, and performance goals.
- Promote and maintain an environment that fosters a high-performance culture and a learning organization. Serve as a change agent for business initiatives, ensuring the human element is understood and considered.
- Provide timely recognition of employee contributions, coaching, training, and evaluate employee performance.
- Facilitate open and honest communication with staff, integrating upward communication, including employee concerns and complaints. Develop methods to assess communication effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish, maintain, and improve relationships with other departments in Exelon.
- Manage Union/management relationships and engage local union stewards to effectively facilitate the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Work within departmental budgets, plan resource coverage, execute, and evaluate training and OJT effectiveness directed at achieving business plans and business unit objectives.
- Manage large-scale training projects.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of internal utility experience or equivalent external industry experience.
- Prior supervisory experience will be evaluated following the interview. Candidates with 2-3 years of recent internal supervisory experience will not require additional assessment.
- Candidates without internal supervisory experience, including external applicants, may be required to complete a Supervisory Assessment if selected to move forward after the interview.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Extensive knowledge of the collective bargaining agreement and related procedures, policies, and processes.
Pay
Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience: $96,800.00/Yr. – $133,100.00/Yr.
Annual bonus for eligible positions: 15%
