Training Supervisor

About the role

Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Supervisor will develop and deliver learning solutions for employees and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure employees have the necessary skills to meet the requirements of their position.

• Develop training and development procedures.
• Encourage teamwork among trainers.
• Ensure good relationship and communication with management team; ensure all training programs match the requirements of the organization and work.
• Participate in needs analysis studies to determine training needs within the organization.
• Confer with management to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
• Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
• Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
• Select or develop testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training.
• Supervise training sessions provided by trainers covering areas such as new employee orientation, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, apprenticeship programs, customer service, sales techniques, health and safety practices, public relations, refresher training, promotional development, upgrading, and leadership development.
• Evaluate participants to measure progress and ascertain effectiveness of training.
• Report on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
• Revise design of training curriculum and methods to improve effectiveness.

Requirements

• Functional knowledge, educational background, or relevant working experience.
• Experience coaching, training, mentoring, or supervisory.
• Advanced experience and skills associated with performing assigned functions.
• Advanced/thorough knowledge of the function and Flex business.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, financial reports, legal documents, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, vendors, and/or customers.
• Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization from production associates through executives.
