Training Supervisor

About the role

JPS Composite Materials (JPS) is a manufacturer of high-performance fabrics servicing the aerospace, military, commercial, and industrial markets. The company’s materials are found in composite matrix applications including commercial aircraft interiors, radomes, ballistic applications, and electronic applications. With over 60 years of experience, JPS is the primary supplier of these products in North America and operates manufacturing facilities in North and South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements.
• Supervise and support on-the-job trainers (OJTs) and trainees, ensuring high-quality instruction and delivery.
• Conduct hands-on technical training and certification of new hires and associates for roles including Forklift, Low Lift Hoist, and Lock Out Tag Out.
• Conduct classroom (Defect Class) sessions for all affected associates.
• Ensure all training programs align with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Conduct weekly training evaluations for trainees.
• Conduct quarterly and end-of-training Demonstration of Ability for trainees.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to OJTs.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback.
• Assist with the development and rollout of training and development videos.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Available for continuing education.
• 5+ years of experience in the textile industry.
• Certified in multiple jobs.
• Computer Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Capable of working in a team environment.
• Professional Attitude.
• Possess a good safety, work, and attendance record.
• Ability to analyze training needs and measure effectiveness.
• Available to work any shift as required.
