This role focuses on developing, administering, and conducting training and safety programs for associates while ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, ISO, and corporate requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, administer, and conduct training and safety programs and activities for associates, ensuring all processes are documented.
- Provide technical writing resources to ensure accurate Work Instructions are developed and maintained for all processes.
- Ensure associates are trained on individual job functions and that training is documented.
- Incorporate all regulatory and customer safety requirements into company policies and ensure associates are appropriately trained.
- Develop and conduct initial new associate and refresher programs to meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, coordinate, and/or conduct job-specific and process training programs.
- Coordinate and direct writing assignments of Technical Writers to document processes.
- Develop site-level Trainers and Technical Writers through "Train-the-Trainer" and "Train-the-Writer" classes, including continuous coaching and mentoring.
- Administer the Site Safety Program, including developing safety procedures, auditing for compliance, and advising management of safety concerns.
- Provide advisory capacity to the Site Safety Committee to identify safety concerns and recommend improvements.
- Identify Training/Writing staffing needs, interview candidates, and develop staff members to ensure an effective team.
- Coordinate and/or conduct corporate-sponsored training programs for site personnel.
- Document system processes in manuals and manage procedure development to ensure document control standards support ISO and Management of Change Systems.
- Work closely with Customer Representatives, Operations, Inventory Control, and Customer Service to ensure processes are accurate, documented, and changes are communicated.
- Develop flexible training schedules to meet special requests and business requirements.
- Participate in Quest Workshops to improve productivity and resolve process issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in the logistics or manufacturing industry (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in a lead, supervisor, or management role (required).
