Position Overview
Provide support to The United States Coast Guard (USCG), CG-AIR’s (to include the Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Aviation Projects Acquisition Center (APAC), and Office of Aeronautical Engineering (CG-AIR-E))
Essential Job Functions
- Serve as POC on training, training record, and administration questions IAW ALCINST 5224.4
- Draft, present, and update training materials, records, and guidance
- Develop and maintain training databases and records for all ALC employees (military, civil service, and contractors)
- Provide updated training records to Workforce Management Staff (WMS)
- Review training records to determine personnel qualifications and currency IAW ALCINST 5224.4
- Assist WMS with onboarding new employees by coordinating training data and qualification courses
- Maintain records for pilots, aircrews, and employees including maintenance qualifications
- Schedule classroom training courses; confirm computer-based training is accessible during normal working hours
- Facilitate and present course material on general ALC and USCG topics when a presenter is unavailable
- Maintain records for personnel training requirements IAW Commandant and ALCINSTs including COMDTINST M3710.1
- Aid UTO in managing and resolving customer complaints
- Conduct annual review of legal requirements to keep training curriculum current
- Review and recommend updates to ALCINSTs, syllabi, and standardization check forms IAW Commandant and ALC policies
Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Ability to work with minimal Government oversight
- Strong public speaking skills with ability to present to large groups
- Ability to create formal documents and reports
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting training programs
- 1 year experience in USCG procedures
- Proficiency in ALMIS
- Proficiency in AMMIS
