About the Role
Provides full administrative and operational support to the Blackboard (Bb) e-learning platform. Administers the Learning Management System (LMS) and Bb help desk function, including setting permission groups, password restoration for Unit Training Managers, and Bb student enrollment to meet customers' needs.
Responsibilities
- Produce interactive online e-learning products using Instructional System Design concepts and methods, including conducting learning content analysis, establishing performance objectives, and determining presentation methods within budget constraints.
- Administer the virtual registration process for online and in-residence courses for AFSVC/VIT.
- Create new products using existing content files, reorganize or delete content to meet course length and learning objectives, and revise online course material based on internal/external feedback.
- Ensure production and course content remain on schedule, with corrections and changes approved by competent authority.
- Administer tasks and track data associated with the LMS/Bb to provide reporting on usage and course completion.
- Partner with industry to develop professional training and certification programs.
- Assist with AFSVC strategic plan initiatives.
- Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training programs, materials, methods, and aids for the professional development of Force Support Squadron (FSS) activity managers, assistant managers, and flight chiefs.
- Establish, conduct, and evaluate special training and education programs for AFSVC staff to support their development and professional growth.
- Provide consultation to AFSVC personnel on course content development, including objectives, student outcomes, classroom materials, training methods, evaluation methods, and program evaluations.
- Conduct analysis of training to advise leadership on training effectiveness, program initiatives, and the status of current training programs.
- Conduct classroom instruction, including lectures, hands-on performance, guided case analysis, and computer-generated programs.
Requirements
This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results and be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal U.S. Resident for a minimum of 3 years.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with online learning development and design using authoring tools and online technologies.
- Experience administering/operating Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience with interactive distance learning software techniques for training program development in both online and classroom delivery.
- Working experience with instructional systems design methods and concepts.
Desired Experience
- Proven experience as an Instructional Designer with an understanding of adult learning concepts.
- Experience with Adobe design software.
- Working experience with computer software applications, electronic mail, report writing, and various written communications.
Skills
- Ability to develop curriculum.
- Ability to apply instructional systems design (ISD) principles across the full ADDIE lifecycle: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
