About the role
The Training Specialist at Harmar Mobility is responsible for delivering technical training sessions and supporting the Training Manager in the execution and improvement of Harmar’s training programs. This role involves hands-on facilitation of classes, providing real-time support during installations, and representing Harmar in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Co-facilitate instructor-led installation training under guidance of the Training Manager.
- Lead hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and guided practice sessions.
- Provide real-time coaching and troubleshooting support during installation activities.
- Assist with demonstrations of tools, equipment, wiring, and mechanical components.
- Promote a safe, learner-focused, and professional classroom environment.
- Support on-site training events at dealer or partner locations as needed.
- Aid in preparation, transport, setup, and teardown of training equipment for field events.
- Represent Harmar professionally while interacting with dealers, technicians, and partners.
- Prepare products, fixtures, tools, and materials ahead of each session.
- Aid in maintenance, inspection, and organization of demo units and training equipment.
- Provide feedback on training effectiveness and learner comprehension.
- Contribute to updates of training materials, job aids, and hands-on guides.
- Share real-world installation insights to improve training relevance and clarity.
Requirements
- Effective hands-on learner support and coaching.
- Safe and accurate demonstrations of installation procedures.
- Professional and engaging learner experience.
- Reliable support for training events and classes.
- Continuous growth toward independent class facilitation.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, or technical field; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years experience in a customer-facing field, technical product experience preferred.
- Technical certificate, associate degree, or equivalent experience in: Electromechanical systems, Installation, service, or field support roles; 1–3 years experience installing or servicing mechanical or electro-mechanical products.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills.
- Comfortable speaking to small and medium-sized groups.
- Clear verbal communication and coaching ability.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in practical terms.
- Organized and safety-conscious.
- Willingness to learn instructional techniques.
