About the role
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Training Program Coordinator to lead, design, and sustain advanced manufacturing training programs.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver hands-on, shop-floor training covering equipment operation, mechanical systems, assembly and structural processes, and manufacturing best practices.
- Develop, refine, and maintain high-quality training materials aligned to BOMs, SAP routings, SOPs, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
- Build structured, repeatable training programs that reinforce standardization, quality, safety, and compliance.
- Conduct technical skill assessments, validate proficiency, and support readiness for role advancement within production.
- Partner closely with manufacturing leadership, engineering, quality, and HR to identify skill gaps and training priorities.
- Own and manage structured training pathways with clearly defined learning objectives, progression milestones, and documentation.
- Track certifications, skills attainment, and training completion using established systems and reporting tools.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously improve training methods, materials, and delivery.
- Lead technical onboarding for new manufacturing employees, ensuring rapid and effective skill adoption.
- Support implementation and training for new equipment, tools, technologies, workflows, and process changes.
- Identify breakdowns in process understanding or documentation and collaborate cross-functionally to drive clarity and execution.
- Act as a trusted technical resource on the shop floor, reinforcing best practices and process discipline.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing environments supporting technical training, equipment operation, or process execution.
- Proven ability to train and coach experienced and entry-level production employees in practical, skills-based settings.
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing workflows, mechanical systems, lean principles, and production documentation.
- Demonstrated success translating engineering and process requirements into effective shop-floor learning.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across experience levels and departments.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Proficiency with SAP, training tracking systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
Qualifications
- Required: Associate’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in training.
- Prior experience coordinating, delivering, or sustaining technical training in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
