About the role
The Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.
This role coordinates and supports the daily operations of our global operations employee training programs, enhancing employee performance by managing and implementing our standardized on-the-job training programs.
Responsibilities
- Coordination of site training matrix according to global operations training framework, to ensure location/role accuracy.
- Assist as needed with site training coordination and providing updates on the training calendar.
- Coordination/Scheduling of internal and external training in conjunction with relevant manager and workforce planner.
- Partnering with Training Operations Coordinator to ensure Learning Management System (LMS) is updated.
- On-The-Job training (OTJ) program in conjunction with relevant manager.
- Support and Monitor OTJ process, including all steps are followed and sign off sheets/feedback forms are received.
- Monitor and provide insights into ‘training hours worked’.
- Facilitate Train the Trainer.
- Coaching and supporting leaders in understanding the training program and their role in it.
- Monitor and provide updates on training KPI’s in partnership with Training Operations Coordinator.
- Supports and assists in coordination of our new hire orientation utilizing standardized materials, and ensuring all paperwork and required training is documented and completed.
- Coordination of any Apprentice Programs.
- Support for audits.
- Support and validation that employees are being trained per procedures and their Standard Work.
- Collaborate with the Global Operations Training team to develop and implement employee training programs.
- Participate and collaborate on projects around global operations training initiatives.
Qualifications
Typical Education: Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4-year college or university preferred.
Relevant Experience: 3+ years of Training & Development Experience, manufacturing experience preferred, professional certification or continued education with emphasis around workplace or adult learning.
Skills
Knowledge of learning management software, ability to perform independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook), strong written and oral communication skills with strong presentation and facilitation skills, ability to build strong relationships and networks.

Pay
Wage range or rate of pay: $80,000 - $85,000 annually, plus annual incentive plan eligibility.
Schedule
Travel Required: Less than 10%.
