Role Overview

The Training Material Developer is tasked with designing and developing modern, interactive training programs using advanced technologies like AI video avatars and 360° product walkarounds to enhance learning accessibility and impact.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create and design training programs, courses, and materials for different learning audiences.
  • Develop a variety of training materials, including e-learning modules, manuals, presentations, job aids, and videos.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure the content is accurate, relevant, and up to date.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and determine training requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and other metrics.
  • Maintain and update existing training materials to keep them current. Handling translations where needed.
  • Use advanced e-learning tools and multimedia technologies to create interactive, engaging, and learner-focused training experiences, including AI-supported video content and immersive digital product training.
  • Facilitate training sessions or workshops as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Instructional design: A strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories is essential.
  • Technical proficiency: Experience with common software like Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) and multimedia tools is often required. Experience creating advanced technical training based on mechanical and/or electrical systems would be beneficial.
  • E-learning development expertise: Excellent hands-on skills with Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, and Synthesia are required, with the ability to develop polished, interactive, and professional e-learning modules from concept to final delivery.
  • Photo and graphic design experience: Strong experience creating and editing visual assets, including photos, graphics, layouts, icons, and branded design elements that enhance digital learning experiences.
  • Translations: Ability to create and/or direct experience with conducting eLearning and multimedia translations.
  • AI and immersive training innovation: Experience or strong interest in AI avatars, AI-supported training content, digital storytelling, and 360° product walkaround training is highly valued.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to work with SMEs and other stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinking: The ability to analyze training needs and evaluate program effectiveness is crucial.
  • Educational background: A Bachelor's degree in a related field like Education, Instructional Design, Multimedia Design, or a related area. A masters degree or post graduate certificates in a related field would be beneficial.
  • Mindset: A demonstrated eagerness to learn and collaborate.

Additional Details and Competencies

  • Create and enhance photos, graphics, layouts, and visual design elements that support engaging, professional, and brand-aligned e-learning content.
  • Support the digital transformation of Prevost training by helping introduce innovative learning formats, including AI-enabled training, virtual product demonstrations, and 360° walkaround training for new products.
  • Define and write sound learning objectives that tie directly to the business objectives and evaluation strategy.
  • Manage your documentation, originals, versions, and final products in accordance with the folder hierarchy, repositories, and content management processes established by the team.
  • Continuously upskill yourself in the learning profession by learning new development software, keeping current on mega trends in the learning and performance field, and obtaining relevant certificates and certifications.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently, in writing and verbally.
