About the role

Operations Training provides approximately 350 individual courses focusing on: safety, technical and operational training for new hires, promoted and incumbent employees. Programs are designed in partnership with New York City Transit's departmental management and where appropriate, other MTA agencies, in response to mandates by Federal, State and City entities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs in the classroom and at field locations.
  • Supervise and instruct students.
  • Develop and write lesson plans.
  • Develop and maintain training aids, mock-ups and role plays.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate the delivery of training, both computer-based and instructor-led training.
  • Maintain records and prepares reports and evaluations on trainees.
  • Prepare and deliver formal presentations.

Requirements

Must have knowledge of rules/ regulations and policies/ procedures for Station Agents, Station Cleaners and Station Supervisors.

Possess a professional demeanor and have the ability to handle demanding situations.

Create a safe and professional environment.

Work well with others and communicate in an effective and efficient manner.

Make sound judgments.

Fluent in EAM, Excel, Word and creating PowerPoints.

Qualifications

At least 1 year experience as a field supervisor.
