Imagine walking into a center where your guidance shapes the way children learn, grow, and feel supported every single day. As the Training & Curriculum Specialist for Offutt AFB’s Child & Youth Programs, you become the person staff look to for coaching, creativity, and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Help teachers bring lessons to life
- Strengthen program quality
- Create environments where military children feel safe, curious, and ready to explore
- Serve as the early childhood education specialist or youth development specialist for child and youth programs including child development centers, family childcare, school-age, youth programs, and unique childcare programs
- Train program staff, volunteers, contractors, family childcare providers, administrative, and food service staff
Requirements
- A degree in either early childhood or child development is required in order to meet the education requirements for this position.
Qualifications
- Professional knowledge of the principles, theories, concepts, and practices of early childhood development and youth development encompassing infant through school-age, youth and teens and child and youth development theories, methodology, and practices.
- Knowledge of childcare regulation requirements and policies.
- Develops curricula which supports physical, emotional, social, cognitive development of children and youth.
- Develops supports that accommodate children with special needs and children with challenging behaviors.
- Administers and interprets the environmental, program, and child abuse probability assessments.
Skills
- Develops and adapts training to staff members, volunteers, family childcare providers and parents, as well as food service and administrative staff.

Pay
Salary Range is $63,795 - $82,938 based on experience.
