About the role

We are seeking a lead engineering technician to perform diverse and complex engineering assignments on a large, complex task force. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines and the ability to interface with other discipline technicians to provide complete engineering support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform space planning, mobilizations, action items, and produce data sheets
  • Draft engineering specifications and standards
  • Develop procedures to track engineering progress
  • Generate and process forms for the distribution of electronic engineering documents
  • Establish and apply documentation standards for Flow Diagram Change Notices (FDCN) workflow procedures
  • Develop logs to track project deviations
  • Assist with progress reporting via EZTrac and preparation of weekly and monthly status reports
  • Serve as a Company representative to external clients
  • Participate in Fluor University for training and career development
  • Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities
  • Provide feedback on personnel performance and development
  • Participate and facilitate department/project meetings and training
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent)
  • Proficient in use of Fluor specialized software programs
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Superior organizational skills, judgment, and flexibility
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency on company standard personal computer equipment and software, with the ability to train others

Pay

Salary range: $50,000.00 - $93,000.00. The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
