ZACHRY is seeking a Craft Training Coordinator for the Maintenance site CP Chem Cedar Bayou in Baytown, TX. Ideal candidates will hold CRAFT certifications such as Pipefitter, Millwright, Electrician, Boilermaker, or Instrumentation Fitter. A valid driver’s license, successful DISA background check, and drug test are required.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Talent Development programs in both English and Spanish, covering Craft, Equipment, Frontline Supervisor, Leadership, and Learning Management Systems.
- Ensure the safety of all training participants during instruction, demonstrations, practice, and performance verifications.
- Lead shop, tool, material, and equipment inspections as part of the MPW process.
- Maintain compliance and consistency in training processes by recording and auditing records, documents, procedures, and personnel for the project’s craft training program(s).
- Create, coordinate, and facilitate new bilingual training and development opportunities to address quality, safety, and production deficiencies for craft personnel.
- Collaborate with SADC students and their foremen; record key items in the student tracker to proactively address issues or concerns.
Requirements
- NCCER Certification and verified journey-level craft experience.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- 3–5 years of accumulative journey-level experience across multiple crafts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access).

- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and high level of integrity.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in various climates, weather conditions, elevations, and tight or congested areas.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Leadership, meeting facilitation, and classroom presentation experience.
- Flexible work schedule and ability to conduct meetings and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Industrial construction experience.
- Knowledge and experience with industrial construction training curriculum.
- Previous training experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Use of arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
- Occasional work at heights, climbing ladders and stairways, and working off platforms.
- Vision abilities required: focus, depth perception, color recognition, and peripheral vision.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
- Work in all weather conditions (warm/hot to cool/cold, occasional rain) and at varying elevations.
- Moderate to high noise levels from equipment, vehicles, tools, and alarms.
- Job site environment includes light to heavy equipment, materials, communication tools, and active personnel.
