Training Coordinator
About the role
This is an hourly role at our Dodson, Louisiana Lumber Facility that reports to an area Superintendent. The Training Coordinator is responsible for tracking, sourcing, scheduling, and ensuring completion of all aspects of training onsite. This role will work closely with all department and team leaders to ensure alignment with all training policies and procedures, and for ensuring continuous improvement in the training process.
Able to flow to the work as needed including operating production equipment and designated floor tasks.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate new hire orientation
- Assist new hires in completing all on-line training courses
- Provide external contractor on-boarding
- Track and schedule maintenance training for skills progression
- Manage site training programs and requirements
- Maintain site training database
- Maintain training records for all mill associates, including filing completed training documents into training folders
- Assist with maintaining SEEDS database
- Vacation back-up for site administration and payroll
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) years previous work experience in a clerical support position OR three years previous manufacturing experience in an hourly leadership role or safety role
- Must be able to promote and ensure compliance with safety initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all associates
- Excellent work ethic with initiative to get things done
- Willingness to support a 24/7 operating environment, which includes willingness to work any shift, weekends, and holidays as conditions require
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
- Resume detailing your education and work history is required for consideration
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and Excel and other Windows-based programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, Maximo, or other CMMS software system
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment
