About the role
As a Training Coordinator at ResCare Community Living (part of the Sevita family), you will facilitate training programs that support field operations, helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live more independently. This role is key to our mission of empowering people through person-centered services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain course curriculum.
- Confer with management and staff to identify skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations, and changes in policies and procedures.
- Design, create, and update training aids, such as manuals, handouts, course exercises, and visual aids.
- Deliver instruction using multiple modalities, including one-on-one, classroom, teleconferencing, web-based training, and computer-based training.
- Confer with management, internal training consultants, and HR to identify additional training needs for new staff.
- Ensure ongoing feedback of training programs and modify programs as needed.
- Prepare and facilitate client-specific and clinical training, as well as new hire orientation, CPR, and medical administration.
- Provide input regarding the formulation and modification of procedures and practices pertaining to agency training.
- Maintain current knowledge of organizational and industrial trends and make recommendations for new or updated training programs.
Qualifications
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification as required by state.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to manage relationships.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and a team player.
