About the role

This position is responsible for the organization, development, and execution of training for new employees. You will support onboarding, ongoing training, and performance enhancement while serving as a procedural and compliance resource for department employees.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the onboarding of new employees and initial training to ensure a positive new hire experience
  • Provide ongoing group and individualized training for work performance enhancement and general education
  • Deliver training on company and department policies, procedures, competencies, and Lab Information Systems
  • Develop and implement resources and programs to accomplish training objectives
  • Evaluate and update existing training materials and plans
  • Serve as a procedural and compliance resource for department employees
  • Support leadership with goals related to quality and service metrics
  • Assist with the creation of improvement plans for underperforming employees
  • Maintain accurate logs and records for all trainings conducted
  • Provide training with professionalism and respect at all times
  • Assist with workflow during high-volume periods or when coverage is needed
  • Travel to client sites and other branches to assist in training as required
  • Research industry-related information when necessary
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid California State-issued Phlebotomy License (or application for license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire)
  • 3+ years of Phlebotomy experience drawing patients of all ages
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Flexibility to travel throughout California for training purposes
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • At least 21 years old
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in training

Pay

$23.00 - $35.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Additional days and hours may be required.
