Position Summary
The position is for a Training Coordinator in the CWFS division for the Homemaker Services program. The Homemaker service program is a preventive program that supports families in managing daily activities with their children.
Essential Duties
- Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
- Manage maximum caseload of 10 families.
- Provide coordination and leadership of homemaker trainings.
- Supervise homemakers assigned to client families.
- Monthly home visits to families assigned.
- Ongoing assessment of service needs and appropriateness of service.
- Development and review of Task Plans with each family.
- Recommendations for reauthorization, including recommendations for increased/decreased hours and case closing.
- Advocacy for clients in securing additional services and/or linking with other community resources.
- Maintenance of case records and preparation of all required reports.
- Liaison with primary case workers from other agencies and HASA staff.
- Attend in-service training and staff meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work required.
Key Competencies
- Two plus years of related experience, preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Demonstration of sensitivity to clients’ ethnicity, cultural background and family situations.
- Basic awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on families, preferred.
- Sound casework and assessment skills.
- Effective advocacy skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize community resources.
- Fluency in Spanish preferred.
Pay
$66,300 - $70,000/year
