Responsibilities

  • Works with the TraCSS Operations and Systems Engineering leads to establish the cadence of training and certifications.
  • Develops training necessary to onboard new personnel and refresher training.
  • Captures and updates training procedures and processes for the operations team.
  • Coordinates with the relevant DoD communities to leverage existing training materials, where applicable, to establish the TraCSS training curriculum.
  • Designs, schedules, delivers, and tracks technical training.
  • Establishes training and education modules and ensures consistency in the delivery of technical training and on-boarding.
  • Provides train-the-trainer program and qualifies all area trainers for content delivery.
  • Promotes and supports the development of training materials and knowledge assessments for area standard operation procedures (SOP).
  • Utilizes training authoring and multimedia tools and software for assigned development projects.
  • Keeps abreast of training and development research, learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Schedules training meetings and maintains task tracking spreadsheets or other project management tools.
  • Supports the staff with processing/coordinating documents to achieve accurate and timely outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience as a training coordinator.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced use of Google Workspace and Microsoft tools; Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Access.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in support of a U.S. government institution.
  • Current DoD, DOC, NOAA, or NASA authorization to work (badge).
  • Knowledge of space domain awareness, space situational awareness (SSA), space traffic coordination (STC), or space traffic management (STM) related topics.

Pay

The salary offered will depend on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity, business needs, and other factors permitted by law.

Schedule

Work in a typical onsite government office building full time (5-days per week) with situational telework approved as needed. Occasional deadlines or operational conditions may require non-standard/longer hours or additional onsite support. Infrequent travel required.

Place of Performance

The place of performance will be the NOAA Satellite Operations Facility located on the Suitland Federal Center in Suitland MD.
