About the role
The Training and Development Manager at JBS Plainwell Plant is responsible for assessing and analyzing training needs, designing and delivering training programs, evaluating program effectiveness, and coordinating training activities.
Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, or consultations with managers to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
- Design, plan, organize, or direct orientation and training programs for new and current supervisors.
- Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
- Present information using various instructional techniques such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
- Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of effective methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
- Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
- Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in training and development, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Experience in conducting training needs assessments and creating training programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of personnel and human resources principles and procedures.
