Job Summary
Designs and delivers high-impact learning and development programs that support employee growth, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and institutional priorities. The role delivers instructor-led, virtual, hybrid, and self-paced learning experiences for staff, supervisors, managers, and leaders across the university.
- Leads the design, development, and delivery of instructor-led, virtual, and asynchronous training programs aligned with university priorities and workforce development goals.
- Facilitates high-impact training sessions for all audiences including faculty, staff, students, administrators, and university committees.
- Provides strategic direction on instructional design, ensuring alignment with adult learning principles and tailoring content to introductory, intermediate, and advanced audiences.
- Serves as a primary facilitator and instructional designer for compliance-centered trainings including federal and state civil rights laws, university non-discrimination and equal opportunity policies.
- Develops, oversees, and continuously enhances training manuals, facilitator guides, presentations, job aids, and multimedia learning materials to ensure quality, consistency, and effectiveness.
- Designs and manages fully online and blended learning experiences, integrating innovative instructional technologies and evidence-based learning practices.
- Establishes and recommends course structures, learning objectives, and assessment strategies that drive engagement, knowledge retention, and skill application.
- Leads training needs assessments in partnership with institutional stakeholders to identify gaps and inform strategic learning priorities.
- Evaluates training effectiveness using data-driven methods; synthesize findings and implement continuous improvements aligned with emerging best practices.
- Stays informed of emerging trends, innovations, and professional standards in learning and development; proactively update content and approaches to maintain relevance and impact.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and five (5) years of experience in related field; or a Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three (3) years of experience in related field.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Talent Development, Organizational Development, or a related field; or a bachelor's degree with experience in training, facilitation, or learning development. Experience designing and delivering professional development programs for employees and leaders across in-person, virtual, asynchronous, or blended formats.
