About the role
The Credentialed Trainer II position is responsible for training end users on AltaMed technical/clinical systems and applications, including, but not limited to, Ambulatory Electronic Health Records (EMR), Managed Care Referral System, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Interactive Intelligence (ININ), and other technical systems. This position is responsible for the validation and training of workflows for AltaMed staff on new or updated core software products targeting a variety of audiences. Trainers will be responsible for training staff, utilizing standardized training materials. The CT II will also work with the Project Trainer (PT) on special projects or assignments.
This role is responsible for keeping up to date with changes in the curriculum for software upgrades and builds. During any clinical system implementation, this position may also be assigned to the project as a primary credentialed trainer working under the guidance of the PT and Training Manager. The CT II will take ownership of completing assigned tasks within the implementation project scope. This position will also support end-users in a 1-1 format in the clinic or other healthcare-related environments and assist with Tip Sheet development.
The CT II may also be engaged as the lead of designated task force efforts assigned by the Training Manager. Leadership over a task force includes, but is not limited to, managing the strategy outline, delegation of work with allotted resources, follow-up, setting milestones and goals, project completion, and lessons learned. The role may also be assigned as the rounding lead over a territory of clinics or one clinic in particular for onsite support.
Responsibilities
- Train end users on AltaMed technical/clinical systems and applications, including EMR, Managed Care Referral System, CRM, ININ, and other technical systems.
- Validate and train workflows for AltaMed staff on new or updated core software products.
- Utilize standardized training materials to train staff.
- Collaborate with the Project Trainer (PT) on special projects or assignments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of curriculum changes for software upgrades and builds.
- Serve as a primary credentialed trainer during clinical system implementations under the guidance of the PT and Training Manager.
- Complete assigned tasks within the implementation project scope.
- Provide 1-1 support to end-users in clinic or other healthcare-related environments.
- Assist with Tip Sheet development.
- Lead designated task force efforts, including managing strategy, delegating work, setting milestones, and ensuring project completion.
- Act as the rounding lead for onsite support in a territory of clinics or a specific clinic.
- Provide thoughtful analysis of the curriculum to improve learning outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information technology, biological sciences, education, English, or communications is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct progressive experience implementing Electronic Health Records systems in a large healthcare organization.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in performance improvement, project management, or program management.
- Previous experience supporting EPIC training and certification programs.
- Must be EPIC credentialed in at least 3 applications.
- Minimum of 2 years of technical training experience with Epic System to clinical staff, including providers, nurses, MAs, etc., and adult training principles.
- Instruction at a traditional secondary, collegiate, or adult school level, OR 2 years of technical training experience with medical/dental devices preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of Program/Project Management experience providing cross-functional coordination is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in education, organizational development, or a training-related position.
- Previous experience rolling out complex training programs to a large population (1500+ people) is preferred.
- Experience maintaining collaborative relationships with internal personnel, business owners, and stakeholders.
- Experience supporting EPIC training efforts at various stages of go-live.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment related to clinical and business system applications, training, and education.
- Informatics certifications are a plus.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Learning Management System experience preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, as well as SharePoint).
Pay
$68,848.17 - $86,060.21 annually
Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change. This role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or incentives.
