About the role
This position is National Remote. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in Minneapolis, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four (4) days per week.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SMEs, managers, trainers, and stakeholders to identify business goals and performance gaps.
- Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups to gather data on learning needs.
- Perform task and skills analysis to define required competencies.
- Recommend training and non-training interventions based on gap analysis.
- Define learning objectives and design course structures using ADDIE or similar models.
- Create engaging eLearning (Articulate Storyline, Rise), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), and hybrid learning solutions.
- Create assessments, job aids, facilitation guides, and multimedia content.
- Apply accessibility standards (ADA Section 508, WCAG compliance).
- Integrate courses into LMS (SCORM packaging, navigation rules, progress tracking).
- Develop virtual learning experiences using platforms like Zoom, Teams, or similar.
- Incorporate interactive elements such as breakout rooms, polls, and simulations to enhance engagement.
- Develop strategies for blended learning and virtual onboarding programs.
- Conduct alpha/beta testing of courses and pathways.
- Gather user feedback and revise content for accuracy and engagement.
- Use LMS analytics and learner data to measure effectiveness and business impact.
- Partner with trainers and cross-functional teams to align learning solutions with operational goals.
- Support revision/redesign of existing training programs.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma / GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- 2+ years of experience working in an instructional design role.
- Expertise in virtual training design and delivery.
- Understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models.
- Proficiency in eLearning tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Replay, Peek).
- Full-time, Monday - Friday work schedule.
- Flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm local time zone.
- Ability to work occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare or pharmacy operations experience.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory training.
- Graphic design or multimedia development skills.
- Time management, organizational, and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills and drives for results individually and in a team setting.
Telecommuting Requirements
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure.
- To have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
- To live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
