Trainer

About the Role

Alfa Insurance® is an A-rated insurance carrier offering auto, home, life, farm, and business insurance products. As a Trainer, you will contribute to the success of our organization by developing and delivering training programs for our field force and Home Office. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and conduct training for the field force and Home Office, including online course development, classroom instruction, webinars, workshops, and one-on-one training.
• Prepare all course development and training materials in advance with attention to detail (proofing, editing, testing, etc.).
• Exhibit professionalism through teamwork, attitude, attire, attendance, tolerance, cooperation, and conduct.
• Work cohesively with a team toward common goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; in lieu of a degree, 2 years’ experience as an Alfa Agent is acceptable.
• Licensed in Life & Health Insurance and Property/Casualty Insurance (within 6 months of hire date).
• Educational or training experience preferred.
• Experience with Articulate Storyline and Rise preferred.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and speak effectively in front of a group.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds (training materials and equipment).

Candidates may qualify for the Trainer II position if they possess a college degree (or a minimum of five years as an Alfa Agent), certification as an Instructional Designer/Developer, and at least four years of experience in instructional design and training.
