About the role
The Trainee Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to customers. The role identifies opportunities to improve service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Performs quality assurance tests on company products
- Prepares laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite
- Provides advanced technical support during additive selection and fluid design
- Maintains contact with the Client Support Labs and/or operating locations, product centers and the InTouch repository
- Ensures job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time
- Develops the competency level required to perform advanced additive selection and fluid design
- Maintains laboratory equipment in clean, working condition and regularly disposes of waste
- Prepares technical presentations for internal and external customers
- Performs regular audits to ensure the laboratory operates according to required standards
- Affords technical support to the Design/Technical Engineer and Product Champions as required
- Participates in Service Quality Meetings with customers and improves performance using action plans
- Participates in HSE and Quality initiatives
- Wears PPE and observes HSE policies
- Maintains the required safety training
Requirements
- 0-3 years of experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- PREFERRED: Laboratory experience
- BASIC: Microsoft Office 365 skills
- GENERAL: Ability to navigate File Explorer and general computer systems
- STRONG WILINESS: To learn and assist across multiple functions
