Trainee

Responsibilities

• Machine, inspect, and assemble products while gaining experience and on-the-job training until all criteria are met.
• Set up and operate most standard machine shop equipment (in line with FLSA guidelines).
• Provide general assistance as needed in the machine shop.
• Perform general shop cleaning, organization, and 5S.
• Inspect parts to assure conformance to specification.
• Read and understand blueprints, customer specifications, and internal documentation.
• Work well with machinists.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be familiar with company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives.
• Be aware of the relevance and importance of your activities and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives.
• Must be attending high school or skills trade school.
• Operate forklift (if age criteria is met).
• Commitment to company values.

Skills

• Basic shop math.
• Machine trade skills training (nonessential but beneficial).
