About the role
The Traffic Signal Product Specialist will deliver exceptional field service for Iteris solutions, including advanced detection and ITS equipment. This role involves providing top-tier support and post-sale services, conducting on-site and phone-based troubleshooting, system turn-on, and support of Iteris detection and signal-related ITS devices. Responsibilities also include executing installation, maintenance, and repair services for Iteris equipment under maintenance/service contracts, ensuring safety standards are upheld, and fostering strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Deliver top-tier support and post-sale services to exceed client expectations
- Provide comprehensive on-site and phone-based troubleshooting, system turn-on, and support of Iteris detection and signal-related ITS devices
- Execute installation, maintenance, and repair services for Iteris equipment under maintenance/service contracts, emphasizing responsiveness and accountability
- Foster strong client relationships by delivering professional, timely, and effective technical solutions
- Regularly travel (up to 50% overnight) to ensure optimal on-site project support
Requirements
- A High School Diploma required
- IMSA Level I Certification (or the ability to obtain) required
- IMSA Work Zone Safety certification highly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of field-based technical support experience with traffic signal – ITS equipment (e.g., cabinets, controllers, detection systems)
- Proven track record working with ITS equipment, whether for a manufacturer or in a municipal/contractor role
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional service, professionalism, and effective communication in high-stakes environments
- Self-motivated, team-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential
- Must hold an acceptable driving record and be able to travel extensively
Qualifications

Pay
Iteris anticipates paying a base salary between $73,300 and $81,700 for this role. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Schedule
Regular travel (up to 50% overnight) to ensure optimal on-site project support.
