Traffic Signal Technician

About the role

The Traffic Signal Technician provides supervision and assistance for the installation, maintenance and repair of traffic control signs and associated components. Tasks are carried out on construction sites, maintenance facilities, and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Conducting repairs and maintenance on traffic signs and control systems.
• Aid in the installation, repair and replacement of signs and traffic signals.

Requirements

• Experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator or Traffic Control Operator.
• Experience with Workzone Traffic Signals, Riggers & Signal, and Roadway Lighting.
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• Valid Driver’s License with active liability insurance.
• Successful completion of required criminal record and motor vehicle record background checks.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with heavy machinery.
• Experience with traffic signals, rigging, and roadway lighting.
• Valid driver's license with active liability insurance.
• Successful completion of background checks.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Authorization to work in the US.
