About the Role
The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for efficiently directing vehicular traffic in designated areas while providing exceptional hospitality services. The role includes issuing valet parking tickets to patients/guests following mystery shop standards, upholding site management’s parking policies, parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely, and assisting guests with luggage during arrival and departure.
Responsibilities
- Directs vehicular traffic while providing attentive, friendly service to all patients/guests (25%)
- Assists marketing department with client-targeted marketing efforts (25%)
- Maintains a pleasant, professional demeanor with guests, location staff, and co-workers
- Acknowledges and greets guests immediately using their last name when appropriate
- Uses proper Towne Park phone etiquette and salutation of the day
- Assists guests with directions, inquiries, and information about the surrounding area and attractions (25%)
- Protects guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements
- Collects data in accordance with parking operations, if applicable
- Obtains information about daily events and applicable parking rates
- Maintains claim checks and guest folio archives
- Parks and retrieves vehicles promptly and safely, driving cautiously (25%)
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of traffic and valet procedures
Skills
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using American units of money, weight, volume, and distance
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
- Customer service experience preferred
- Register/computer experience preferred
- Ability to drive manual transmission and perform parallel parking
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Majority of work performed outdoors for extended periods, including entire shifts, in varying weather conditions (extreme heat and cold)
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Lifting requirements: up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
- Travel of up to 5% may be required
Pay
The hourly base pay range for this position is $15–$17 per hour.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
