Responsibilities
- Monitor traffic conditions using cameras, software systems, and communication tools.
- Receive and respond to phone calls regarding roadway conditions, incidents, and requests for Road Ranger assistance.
- Enter and update information in computer systems accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with emergency responders, maintenance personnel, and internal teams to support roadway operations.
- Provide timely traveler information through electronic message boards, websites, and other communication systems.
- Dispatch and monitor Road Ranger Safety Patrol operators.
- Track incidents and document activities using established procedures.
- Identify and report equipment issues and maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and shift reports.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training programs.
- Support a safe and efficient transportation system for the traveling public.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
