About the role

Assisting in the marking and identification of construction zones and areas for striping, lane closures, and installation of barrier walls.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and removing lane closures at specified times and ensuring safety and compliance with DOT specifications.
• Delivering and setting up message boards/program boards accordingly.
• Loading and unloading all MOT equipment/devices.
• Auxiliary in MOT inspections of equipment.
• Performing all other functions as requested by the MOT Supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English or Spanish.
• Previous relevant highway/roadway construction experience is highly preferred.
• Must be familiar with MOT/Safety procedures.
• Must be able to lift 50 to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (day time/night time).
• Should possess team work skills.
• Must be accustomed to working in outside environment.
• Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend, crouch or walk for extended periods of time.
