TRADES TECH I-GROUNDSKEEPER

About the role

Support facility mission by maintaining grounds, streets, sidewalks, and parking lots in a safe and aesthetic manner. Perform preventive maintenance on facility owned and pool vehicles, grounds equipment and other designated gas- and diesel-powered equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, streets, sidewalks, and parking lots in a safe and aesthetic manner
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility owned and pool vehicles, grounds equipment and other designated gas- and diesel-powered equipment

Requirements

• Valid Drivers' License is required
• Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes
• Ability to work in variable environmental conditions (e.g. hot and cold weather)
• Customer service skills
• Knowledge/skill in utilizing grounds-keeping equipment and herbicides, fertilizers, pesticides, etc., in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to work with minimal supervision after receiving clear and concise instruction from supervisor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Knowledge on operating vehicles or powered equipment such as lawnmowers, snowblowers

Pay

Salary Range: $36,857/yr. to $50,863/yr. Pay Band: 1
