TRADES TECH I-GROUNDSKEEPER

About the role

Support facility mission by maintaining grounds, streets, sidewalks, and parking lots in a safe and aesthetic manner. Perform preventive maintenance on facility owned and pool vehicles, grounds equipment and other designated gas- and diesel-powered equipment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Valid Drivers' License is required
• Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes
• Ability to work in variable environmental conditions (e.g. hot and cold weather)
• Customer service skills
• Knowledge/skill in utilizing grounds-keeping equipment and herbicides, fertilizers, pesticides, etc., in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to work with minimal supervision after receiving clear and concise instruction from supervisor

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Knowledge on operating vehicles or powered equipment such as lawnmowers, snowblowers is also preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $36,857/yr. to $50,863/yr., Pay Band: 1
