Trade Marketing Associate Manager

About the role
The Trade Marketing Manager supports the development and execution of trade marketing strategies to drive brand visibility and sales performance across retail and distribution channels. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, and Category teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives, owns the creation of retailer communication materials, and presents them directly to retail partners. The manager also drives broker engagement across multiple sales channels and partners with the sales team to deliver new item innovation and other commercial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing trade marketing programs and promotions.
- Create and combine Product Line Review materials and ensure timely delivery to retail partners.
- Create and manage Integrated Commercial Calendars to align business needs and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute channel-specific initiatives and deliver them to retailers and consumers.
- Monitor trade spending and ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
- Create promotional planning guidelines and individual trade plans by retail channel.
- Identify ROI for trade events and create profitable promotional plans.
- Create and distribute trade-related reports on business performance and provide actionable insights.
- Lead cross-functional workstreams for trade initiatives and retailers.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders for multiple concurrent projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in trade marketing, sales, or brand management.
- Experience supporting CPG, retail, or consumer goods environments.
- Exposure to retailer execution, promotions, or go-to-market planning.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing teams.
