Trade Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities
- Complete daily activities to support compliance with U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Manage export license applications, collaborating with the global trade team and internal/external parties for review and approval.
- Review shipment documentation for compliance with ITAR, EAR, and Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) requirements including export authorizations, HTS/ECCN classification, country of origin, and valuation.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Support training initiatives on export compliance to ensure a knowledgeable and educated workforce.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, legal, and sales teams to ensure smooth international transactions while mitigating risks.
- Maintain records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in international business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in trade compliance, import/export regulations, or a related field in the USA and Mexico.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. export regulations including ITAR, EAR, FTR, OFAC, and customs regulations.
- Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and training abilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex regulatory processes.
- Certifications: Industry certifications such as Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Export Compliance Professional (CECP) are a plus.
- Other: Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries.
- Experience working with trade compliance software and ERP systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment.

Pay
This position is 100% onsite at our Pine Brook, NJ location or our Black Mountain, NC location. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $90,000 - $130,000 annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.
Schedule
This position offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
