Track/Rail Designer - Engineer III

About the role

Our team includes professionals involved in projects like the Susquehanna River Bridge, Long Bridge, and SEPTA Trolley Modifications. Responsibilities

• Completion of assigned work within schedule and hours provided.
• Development of project specifications.
• Development of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
• Aid in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
• Work closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
• Perform quality control reviews of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
• Aid in the coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or
• PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to work with the team and clients.
• Experience with OpenRail, MicroStation/PowerRail, and/or AutoCad.
• Understanding of track/railroad design.
• Ability to manage time, forecast, and communicate project development needs.
