About the role
The Township Manager oversees all aspects of Township operations, including budget administration, departmental oversight, and strategic planning. Reporting directly to the Board of Supervisors, the Manager is responsible for implementing Board policies and managing the Township's day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Township
- Implement and enforce Board policies
- Oversight of departments and staff
- Budget administration
- Strategic planning initiatives
- Collaborate with elected officials, staff, and the public
- Manage Township finances and resources
- Lead and manage a team of Township employees
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, political science, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressively responsible municipal management experience preferred
- Collective bargaining experience a plus
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in financial management, municipal budgeting, municipal operations, personnel management, and grant writing and administration
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with elected officials, staff, and the public
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
